The Speed Bag King Has Risen - My Narragansett Platform

Shipping would not necessarily exceed the platform's purchase price depending on its condition. I'd argue that the freight costs add to the overseas value for items that are otherwise unobtainable. I bought a 175Lb antique in Switzerland in 2003, the airfreight from Zurich to Milwaukee was $600. The cost which the seller charged to crate it and drive it to Zurich was an additional $200. I bought it for resale, I don't own many antiques.
A Naragansett is highly desirable, hope Florian can own one one day if that's what he wants !

The platform was in truly great condition. Everything from the varnish, paint and hardware was never messed with. The only thing missing is the original swivel.

I have one exactly like that...not restored, but in very good condition. The top of the drum is not "enclosed" like yours. The metal frame holding the drum attaches to what looks like exposed 2x4's--but it is all original. I love it...very stable and easy, easy to adjust. I was lucky..I found mine in a YMCA in an old equipment room where it laid in a corner disassembled. The "Y" took it down for liability reasons.
