Need Help choosing Platform and speed ball/bag

Looking to get speed ball/bag and platform for my garage.

    I was gonna combine
    everlast-adjustable-speed-bag-platform

    with
    RDX Speed BALL

    but work out about £95

Or do I just get this set
    RDX SET

Im in the UK, only really got a budget of £60

If anyone has any suggestions or can recommend and platform, swivel and bag I would appreciate it.

On a budget so went for the rdx set from amazon only £50.

      Seems to have ok reviews.

Ive got limited height in my garage so the platform should fit nicely.

The rdx speed bag i seen as being sold seperatly and seems to have ok reviews.

Dont know if anyone else has one of these and if the got a review on the set?

Will le you know how i get on wwith it. Coming his weds/thurs

Ninja, sorry I missed your post. I have been out of the country working. The platform you chose looks like it will vibrate a lot. Here in the UK, we don't get the same choice as our brother and sisters do in the US. You will have to put some sand bags on top to reduce it. This is the case with most platforms, but I have hit something similar to yours and there was a lot of shaking from side to side. However, it is a good starter and I think if you like the hobby you will consider saving your pennies and getting something a bit more solid. The Everlast adjustable is value for money, if they are still available.

See how you get on and come back and report.

Thanks for the sand bag tip to steady it.

It came faulty whereby the bracket didnt line up to the main board. Anyway they refund £20 if I can fix it myself.

          Not a good start.

Managed to drill extra hole through the metal bracket and will be fixing the bracket to the wall this afternoon.

I got the whole lot for £30 so cant grumble I guess.

I will look at other ways to stop vibration on the board and will try the sand bag option first.

The speed bag and swivel however does look pretty decent.

Converting my offsite garage to a small gym, got my old heavy bag up and weight bench. Just need to fix and secure the speed bag.

Will let you knw how I get on.

          THanks again

Im guessing this is the correct height

Heres the bag & swivel in action (not me in video or my video just found on youtube)

Yes, IMO that set up (with belly pretty much aligned with mouth) is optimal for passing the fists through the bag to other sides most efficiently. Some like it higher or lower (lower if shoulders hurt), but this alignment lets the fist(s) pass straight through the bag from any side.

holding the elbows "up" during linking (passing fists through bag) and palm facing the floor also helps keep the elbows and fists in alignment for more of a straight line movement.

              Well got it all setup.

Any suggestions on the weight of the sand bag to help stablelise it better?

Don't buy your speed bag from the same place you buy your tackle box.

Got 25kg bag on top works really well.

                  Thanks for the tip!

All sorted and really stable bag and swivel is really good. The sand makes a massive difference.

All for £30 i can see this last well too.
