    Finally got the platform up

It took a bit for the platform to come in and get it up, but it's finally done. Here it is up in the shed. Feels good to have this part of my routine again. I put the Everlast u bolt swivel on because the one that came with it was garbage. I've also put a bag of sand on top. It's pretty sturdy as is.

Nice job. Looks like you added a few 2x4s in the wall? The platform and mount looks stout. You have to let us know how it hits with a video perhaps. If theres any movement It looks like you could easily add a brace from the top of the platform to the 2x6 above. Check out what Marlon did here http://www.speedbagforum.com/forums/...ead.php?t=5151

The platform is one I came across online from a company called Outslayer, which looks to be based in California and specializes in MMA training and the like. I think their biggest sellers are some Muay Thai dummies. I will note, however, that only a couple of days after I ordered mine, the price increased significantly. It comes with a 10 year warranty as well. The drum itself is not plastic, but does appear that way in the picture. It's three 0.75" thick wood drums affixed together.
