That's pretty remarkable. This is the type of home project that I wouldn't mind getting involved in if I had any woodworking skills. As others have said, the drum itself is a work of art, but its also nice that you took steps to improve functionality as well.

That is truly impressive. I solved my i-box's vibration issues by wedging a 2x4 between the top of the board & the ceiling beam, but your solution is slightly more elgant

There are forum members here who sell swivels and others that sell bags, so I suggest you start selling those platforms. I'd like to place my order now. One please.
I didn't have a scale to weight it but I would say the drum is around 40 to 50 pounds. I went with a 27 1/2 inch drum becouse it's about the largest you can go without offsetting the center, which I didn't want to do.

Me too, but usually a labor of love doesn't have a price.

    Thanks for all positive comments.

It was a fun project to complete. I have learned a lot and was inspired to make the platform by reading everyone's posts on this site. Hopefully my little contribution gives some of that feeling back!

Me B Speechless. I think I'll send your .pdf in an email to Balazs to let them see the amazing creativity within the bagging community. I know they always look at form and function but sometimes these companies need to be reminded of how speed bag equipment can also become works of art...that also work. and this setup clearly is a work of art.

Awesome, CEM326. thanks for posting that.
