Today I built and mounted a new platform. It is 3 layers of 3/4 plywood and the bottom is 1 inch Ipe. One of the hardest woods we use. All glued and screwed. Mounted the DeVille swivel on it. Both are rock solid. The intent is to have both swivels close. They are both good and like the differences between them.
