    New Member-probably old question

Hello everyone, new member, first post. Just getting back into speed bagging after about a 25 year lay off. I've been lurking here for around a week and have really learned a lot. I've been pretty impressed by the skill set of the members here and would like to get some advice. I've been practicing a while and realize I need to upgrade my equipment if I want to progress. I just ordered a Deville 51 Swivel and would really like a good 8x5 bag without going over $50.00 to go with it. From what I've read here the ProMex and the Fighting Sports Pro 8x5s are both decent bags and fall within my budget. Is the extra money for the Fighting Sports Pro worth it? Or if there is another one that is even better?

I know the term "better" is relative so I'm just looking for input on preferences by you experienced baggers.

    thanks fedora

Hi Fedora, welcome to the forum.

There are a lot of good "fast" bags under $50.

The 5x7 title atomic (not the 6x4. it's too small for use training IMO)

The Title 8x5 Yellow Great shape and weight. Wish it was another color....

The Title Classic 8x5 (this is a bit smaller than the other 8x5 bags, probably 7.5 x 5), and a bit lighter but still fast. the classic 9x6 is also a fast bag and a bit smaller than other 9x6 bags.

and of course you can do the "bladder change" recommendations for only a few bucks.

    Good luck with your choice.

Thanks for your input and advice. When I was doing this years ago I didn't have to make any decisions like this as you just used what the gym had.

      regards, fedora

One of my favorite "go-to" (smaller) bags is the yellow Title 5x8 bag. Nice shape, good rebound, and big enough to do decent elbow combos…

For a more serious workout, I enjoy the big red Cleto. My partner–"Trainer Raul"– really likes both the Cleto and the big blue Title bag for a challenging workout.
