Double Reverse Speed Bagging
Ive been tryig to figure out a way to get rid of the noise/vibration on my platform so I can speed bag when the people upstairs are home. I ordered a 24x24x6 Butcher Block, but that won't arrive for another 3-4 weeks. What do I do till then? Hmmm, nobody lives below me, upside down speed bagging.

Small Leone (8.5x5.5) and a Jim Bradley Swivel. I shot another video and started a new thread using a Deville-51 and a 9x6 Cleto. Seemed to work a little better, or maybe I'm just starting to get the hang of it! (no pun intended)Originally posted by ventanakazLOL, i got light headed just watching that, i bought those inversion boots years ago but i don't think i can hook upside down anymore because of the slight belly fat. what bag are u hitting on ?...ralph

I agree, I have a Deville-15 and Deville-13, and will also try to get the revised/new edition Deville 13 as well. I also have a Power Mill Evil Swivel that is pretty awesome, and use to love using it, but since hurting my ear in an accident, I don't use it anymore. Any sharp or loud noises creates pain in my right ear, that lingers for days. Also, I love my Jim Bradley swivel too, which is for more just hitting the bag straight on, but it is super fast, in comparison to all others I've tried. Everlast has a similar model I'm trying to get. It's made of polycarbonate, and only available in the UK, as far as I saw.Originally posted by ventanakaz...i feel the deville-51 swivel is just better for hitting from all angles. JMO...ralph

The Deville swivel still clinks onto the drum, I'm still learning. You placed individual grommets for all four holes vice one large one? Thanks

I was refering to, the constant metal on metal noise(that most people love the rythme of, and I used too, until I hurt my ear in an accident), of the metal eye hook hitting the metal base.
The back of the ball, hitting the drum? I thought that would just happen if you caught the bag underneath, and hit the bag on an upward angle? Which I'm guessing would happen more often than not, if the bag was higher than the recommended height. Would just lowering the bag possibly help aleviate that portion of it? Then again, there are baggers who prefer higher or lower heights.

Bag is level between my mouth and nose. I had a much better speed baggin' rhythm and my drum rarely struck the drum with my Everlast Pro Swivel. I switched due to Alan Kahn's speed bag bible DVD/training.
I'm sure it's due to my inexperience.

The metallic noise of the ball hook is amplified when the base of the swivel is directly attached to the particle board drum of the Balazs iBox. You might still not like the sound level, but it quiets down considerably in my experience. Can't speak about other platforms, just that one.
