    New member - need advice

    Hi all,
I am new to speed bagging and I think I will like it very much. I am having some equipment trouble and need some recommendations. I am sure you all see this post many times but trying to sift through them all...well, I want to get to speed baggin.

I bought the Everlast adjustable platform for $96 off of Amazon. This seems good for me for now.

The U swivel sucks. It is loud, clanky. So, what do you recommend for a swivel for a beginner? I would like something smooth, quiet. Is the Deville the one I need?

Now the bag. I bought a $35 Everlast Level II Everhide bag from Dick's Sporting Goods. Is is already ripping down one of the seems.

So I need a swivel and bag recommendation. And any other beginner advice, but mainly those 2 equipment fixes because I am using this crap swivel and bag until I get new stuff. Help, fast!

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

quick answer is: Yes. You will be greatly disappointed in any other swivel available in comparison to this one. PM Dee via this forum.

For price and quality I'd recommend a titleboxing speed bag

Great bags for $29.99 or the Classic models for $19.99. As you are a beginner I'd stick with the Red Title 9x6 or Yellow title 8x5 - and if you go with a classic bag I'd recommend the 9x6 because it's a bit small for that size and actually is closer in size to the yellow 8x5. If the Red 9x6 classic is a bit too fast due to it's smaller size, you can always let just a smidge of air out of it to deaden it a bit and make it a bit slower.

There's lots of other bag possibilities but why fork out a bunch more money for "bigger brand names" at twice the price.

That would be my recommendation. Let us know how it goes.
