Looking for advice on choosing a platform

Unfortunately, that's way out of my range.Originally posted by Tim View PostWhat age child? I can't say I've seen many adjustable platforms in that category, but PrimeFighter has a very easy to adjust model. It's pretty expensive though.
I was thinking that some styles might be safer ( & easier) to adjust.
Some of these platforms must be getting pretty heavy.
I am not anxious to find out that someone lost control of the platform an it hit them in the head.
When do you think someone could adjust one without supervision?
10,12, 15 years old?
How much of a pain is it to change all the time?
Thanks again
Brian

Take a look at the Model 400 here: http://www.primefighter.com/cgi-bin/...her++CatReq=37
Yes, this one is very easy to adjust, for the counter weight does all the work.
even my small grandkids could move it up and down easily.

Looking for advice on choosing a platform
Several years ago, I tried to learn how to use the speed bag.
I have to admit I did not do very well.
I was using a "Heavy Bag/Speed Bag Free Standing Station".
The platform had a single support.
I was not happy with it.
It was noisy. It Vibrated. I had trouble getting a flow going with it.
I tried strapping it down and adding weights to it.
This helped some, but not much.
I am considering trying again, But I would like to succeed.
I am looking for these things.
one that is easy to learn on (without the frustration)
Can be easily adjusted to different heights.
Other people may be using it, different heights and ages.
I am also concerned with if a child could adjust it safely and easily by themselves.
It would be installed in a cellar (7 ft 3" ceiling)
For these reasons I am looking at:
Title Boxing Precision Adjustable Speed Bag Platform #SBPPA $249.99
Valor Fitness CA-2 Speed Bag Platform 2CA0021BM $229.99
Do you think either of these would fit my needs?
Do you think something else would be better?
Thanks,
