Spam attack in progress - please read

Folks - it just came to my attention that we had about 45-50 new users over night , which is unusual to say the least. I believe it is SPAMMERS who are using the "Email member" function to send junk mail to registered users. I am in the process of nuking these spam users. So if you are a registered member of this forum, you may be getting spam mail.

Apologies for any inconvenience, this is a new dimension in spam warfare.

Unfortunately, this means I'm going to have to leave new user registrations OFF for the time being. Once the attack passes, I will have to turn on new user moderation, which means a 24-48 hour delay before new users can post.

Theres nothing worse than a spammer! They need to make a reality show where spam police catch these guys & bust their A$$ES! I would DVR that!

I wish spammers came in speed bag sizes and shapes

then we could deal with them properly.
