    Plastic Ball Hook Swivs

Hi.. After purchasing a 8x5 Title Gyro at Titleboxing.com (after seeing Tim's post for the 19.99 sale, but still buying one for the decent price 24.99) I checked their swiv page. There are no plastic ball hooks, but there is one all metal S hook on sale for 6.99 that really looks flimsy...
Does anyone know what's up with Everlast's plastic ball hook's that were always on sale for 10.00 and why they are no longer the common swiv, but the chain and U bolt seem to be getting all the attention.
I know the Ball hook swiv is a harder type swiv to control, especially if you are using a speed bag strictly for training as a boxer, and NOT for advanced Speed Bagging, but isn't it even more of a "Control Bag" when you can get the basic boxer speed bagging styles handled on a ball hook?
As I write this, I realize that the U bolt and Chain are also generally faster than the ball hook and they also help control the bag in a straight line where the ball hook doesn't ....
anyhow.... just wondering about all this stuff...

I think the plastic ballhook has been out of production for a while. Last one I saw in a retail sports store was last year and I bought it. They said it was no longer available and now the new "economy everlast" kits come with other styles, none worth two cents (IMO)

Sometimes you can get them on ebay. I've seen a few for "auction" or "sale" lately.

State of swivels in speed bag land is bad right now. I think Novaspeedbagger uses a home made swivel that is pretty cool and made from common items. Can't find that thread but it was about a month ago....

    I think this is it:

Last year I found 5-6 of them at Sports Authority hidden behind some new chain links for about $5! I picked them up because I had heard they were not available anymore and someone would want one. Message me an address and I'll send you one. By the way, did you ever recover any of your stolen stuff?
