    Homemade Platform - DONE

OK, thanks to all for the help, I'm finally done with my platform. Basically - 4 28" circles cut out of 4x8 sheet of hardwood plywood, gorilla glued together, polyurethaned, screwed and bolted to basement rafters. Pic 2 shows how its height adjustable by loosening bolts and adding wood for height. Drum is very heavy (3" thick) so no vibration to speak of. Very happy with the results. Feel free to comment, ask any questions or make suggestions for improvement.

Really nice! How'd you cut the circles? Looks smooth and well constructed!

Thanks ... black stain hides lots of imperfections ... lid of my fire pit happened to be a 27 3/4 in circle, traced it 4 times, jigsaw cut-out, a little sanding, 5 coats miniwax polyshade (combo of stain and polyurethane) ... it dries fast 4 hours so the 5 coats just took a day ...

What gave it away? I see a basement, New Yorkers see so much more.
