Call for donated items for charity silent auction at SPEED B.A.G. II

Hi folks.

One of the big events at this year's bag gathering will be the Silent Auction on Saturday 6/18 , all proceeds to benefit Monmouth County Miracles chapter of the Sunshine Foundation.

I'm looking for any speed bag related item that anyone is willing to donate, in the interest of raising cash for the chapter.

If you are interested in donating something , please bring it to SPEED B.A.G. II. If you are not attending, you can ship it to me and I'll take it up there. PM me if you want the shipping address. I need any and all items by Sunday June 12th, as that is when the "Speed Bag Trailer" gets loaded up and hits the road for the event.

I have a few books and DVD's. Maybe we could get a few shirts signed by the attendees. Might also get some Whitesnake sticks and picks from BT. Maybe a few signed Tour T-shirts also. Might need to get in touch with BT and see about that.

How the Silent Auction will work

On Saturday 6/18 we'll have a table displaying all the auction items. There will be a bid sheet for each item. People interested will list their bid. There will be a minimum starting bid for each item as well. At the end (3pm) the highest bidder for each item wins! All cash raised will go to Monmouth County Miracles

I can tell you we will have some UNIQUE and DESIRABLE speed bag and speed bag related items, so be prepared to bid!

Please note that we will not be doing the prize raffle as we did last year, the silent auction will be done in it's place.

It'd be sweet to get a picture of all the donated stuff and post it!! We've got some great and generous folks on this forum and I'm sure this thing will produce a great gift for the charity!

I wish I was going, if only just to bid on some cool stuff!!!! I wish you could automate the auction and I could bid online! ... I really need an autographed copy of the Speed Bag Bible!!

I think it would be great to get some "speed bag sets" to auction.

A "set" could include 3 or four bags that are some of the forum favorites, such as

A Ringside, Title Atomic, A Fighting Sports, A Promex, A Rival A Grant, A Cleto Rey, etc.

A "set" might be a 9x6, 8x5 and 7x4, or perhaps 3 different brands of 8x5 etc.

Or maybe a Bag and swivel set together.

Balazs Boxing had a custom bag for us to try last year but I notice it kinda died after it got unfavorable reviews. Maybe they are just re-tooling it. I had nice leather, but was much slower than it's same sized cousins.
