    quick poll on swivel design

Somebody asked if i can make a swivel from delrin plastic. I could machine them if i can get the material. Possibly have an option in colors also. Would anybody else be interested in this idea? Delrin base with a metal ball and hook. I would machine them so they match perfectly. Theres already the plastic base from everlast, but i am just wondering if i cant find a way to make a plastic/metal ball swivel better. Anyone interested? I am thinking about starting off with red for the color.

What would the cost be? What are the Pros and Cons, in your opinion? If you say you can do it, i believe you. I love my evil-swivel, could anything ever be better?

They wouldnt be better than the steel ones i make now. Just something different. Probably suit the baggers who are hitting in an area that is loud or echos to reduce noise. i am gonna make a batch for the heck of it. trick is finding the perfect lube for metal on plastic friction. I could machine them 10x quicker.....but i'm not looking for a way to make them "cheaper" i just wanna machine some plastic for the heck of it. the steel ones are the ones i really think are cool.

Have you ever worked with Nylatron? It's a graphite impregnated nylon that machines well. It's used in moderate load low speed friction bearings (among other things).

Always good to have options in my opinion. If you make a batch, I'd get one.

Not sure if they would really be a "hot" item because there are already enough plastic bases. I may try to put a little different spin on them just to make them unique.

I'm in for Red. It would look cool topping a red bag and help camouflage the flames.

If it's weatherproof, I'd be in for one. My plastic Everlast housing is starting to warp on my outdoor setup.
