    Custom Drum

Finally mounted my custom 2" thick x 30" diameter maple drum to my Balazs adjustable frame. I finished it with some Linseed oil and carnauba car wax.

It was a little heavy trying to mount it by myself, although I managed using a little ingenuity.

All this is to the great articles, pointers etc from this forum.

    Sorry pics are slightly blurry.

Next is to mount my HD video camera.

Nice. Have you tried it? How do you like it compared to what came on it? I am going to put one on mine also but a 28'' so that I do not have to offset it. How about some video????

That is really sweet, and you can hit virtually any bag that's in generally available today on it.

            Thanks
I didn't like the 1.25" MDF board, rebounds were not so hot, more vibration, and louder. The new drum has very slight vibration, although will try the sandbag.

That IS a beautiful looking board. Great job - and you can get to try out those huge vintage style bags too.

                            Drum

I was referred by my local hardwood shop, when I went to look for prices on hardwood.

Did you make the drum yourself? if you could post directions on how to make one that would be great.
