    Need some feedback

I am curious to those who got a powermill if the S hook is too tight. I made these and at the time i had a promex 8x5, everlast pro 6x4, and an everlast TE:LG. All the bags fit on the S hooks snug but with no difficult effort to get them on or off. I just got a new promex 9x6 and its loop is WAY thicker than my promex 8x5. I got it on with some force but to get it off i had to use 2 pairs of pliers to get it off. Thats not good. Anybody else have this extreme difficulty? I just checked and it looks like i need a 1/4" spacing to be able to get the fat looped bags on. I went ahead and filed these S hook i have made for the next batch. I apologize ahead of time if this has become a problem for anybody who has already gotten one. I filed the end of the hook where it curls up and keeps the bag from coming off. I did this in about 2 minutes. I hope this helps. Good thing i got a new bag with a fat loop or i would have never known this to be an issue......Thanks Santa!

Mine is a little snug, but I don't need pliers to get any bags off.

      No problem

I had no problem while I used the S-hook JC.

A carabiner hook would solve the thick strap problem. I have worn through several carabiner hooks since I installed my first ball hook swivel back in the spring. That's why I've gone to the zip ties. For that reason as well as the problem with metal shavings in my eyes.

Does anyone else wear out as many hooks as I do?

Using the carabiners would cut out some labor. But, maybe most baggers prefer the rebound radius the S-hook offers. I am more interested in minimizing swivel maintainance so I can spend more time baggin.

The triangular carabiner that Everlast uses on there swivel works well on any speed bag loop, I would imagine.

Am I the only bagger that asked for an eye-hook minus the S-hook?

Yea your the only one. Ironicaly i dont have any problems at all where the S hook and Eye make contact. I always put one drop of oil there cause its a friction point. Maybe that makes a difference.....who knows. I only notice a little wear where the eye strikes the housing. At first during break-in it seems to form slightly where it makes contact. Then it seems to stable out and not wear anymore. Only time will tell. Last thing i want is unsatisfied baggers. So if any problems arrive private message me ASAP!!!

I noticed it was a little tight with certain bags, but I have switched out many with no problem. I think it may have been the Promex that was a little snug. I had to work it slowly back and forth to get it off. But not really a big enough issue to worry about too much. I didn't really think twice about it.

Oh, but it does matter which way you put the bag on too. One way, there is a flap where the seam is sewed that will catch on the hook and make it much more difficult to get off. But if you reverse it and put it on the other way, this isn't a problem.

Yeap! I have noticed that also where the bags have the leather flap inside the loop. It gets caught up sometimes when putting on or taking off bags.

I didn't notice any problem with the few bags I put on it.

but novaspeedbag makes an interesting point, that is, having a model available WITH the S-hook, and one WITHOUT the S-hook, to be used with the leather strap, a carabiner or perhaps shoe string or other unique arrangement by the individual.

People could order it either With the S-hook attached, or just with the S-hook "included" but unattached.

Fine with all my bags except my Cleto Reyes XS. It was a struggle to get it on so I gave up in case I couldn't get it off again! With more muscle, or if the bag had been more used maybe it would have been fine. The loop is still quite stiff on that one.

I would be interested in a Powermill without the S hook anyway to try a leather loop/shoelace etc. Would be a great option!

i could easily add an extra eye that has a slight opening for those who want that option also.

The S hook is perfect for my Title bags. It is just slightly snug getting them on there but they stay on!

Ok cool. Thats good. I was worried everyone was fighting these hooks to death trying to get the bags off and on. I need to make these universal for bags with FAT loops also.
