Tim, awesome review and video. I totally concur. Kudos to Jumpcannon for creating a masterpiece of a swivel. The more I get used to the freedom of the ball/hook, the more I like it.

And I absolutely love to watch you work that bag. Very inspirational.

It will make you a better bagger and enable you to do a wide variety of techniques without any type of resistance (that you might encounter with a u-bolt or chain link swivel) when going from straight punches to side or angled punches. It allows you to mix things up, to use any combo (linking) of punches consecutively.
And Yes, the metal ball/hooks are noisier. That's the appeal of them to me. One of the coolest aspects of hitting the speedbag is the rhythm of it. The metal ball/hook swivs
by far sound the best in terms of being able to hear the combinations/techniques your doing. It's a good learning tool and also they're the best for punching to music.
It's awesome the JC took it upon himself to create these gems. You cannot find a quality "all metal" ball/hook swivel on the market (other than the one company -don't even remember their name-with a terrible track record for taking you money and not delivering). And the Everlast plastic ball/hook is getting harder to find.
In closing, (If you couldn't already tell) I prefer the Ball/Hook swivel, especially the metal ones. Once your used to it, you might not want anything else!
Now there's a man after my own heart.

Performs just like a good ball hook should. Makes side punching easy. It looks terrific, especially the black oxide coating. Shame it's hanging on the bottom of the board and won't be seen much. It sounds great and has the distinctive click-a-clack of metal on metal contact. No hiding mis-hits here.. this thing will keep you honest (that's good).

I'm totally and utterly satisfied. Not to mention the satisfaction of using a HAND MADE piece of equipment from one of our members, one of our very own bag brethren.

You better double the quantity on the second run This is the way metal ball hooks should be done.

I really can't thank Jump enough for doing this. I know it was no small feat, but the end results are magnificent.

        Enough talk, let's see it:

Looks and sounds great. Can't wait for mine to arrive and give it a go. I like the deeper click-clack sound it makes. That is often a draw back to the all metal ballhooks, particularly the latest models of the late 1990's early 2000. the sound was too "bright" at an annoying frequency - at least to my ears. This one has a much more pleasing resonance.

Looks and sound like an unbelievably solid ball hook, a very needed addition to the swivel choices of today.

Yeah Tim, Great Demo! Awesome punching as usual. Wasn't that the same title gyro bag that's on sale now? Can't wait to get my swivs. They look great and have a Killer sound to them. As Alan mentioned, it's a lower pitched "click" and sounds awesome.

Thanks man! Yes - that is the Title Gyro bag now on sale. I like it , a lot. I don't have a whole lot of mileage on that one, but it's a great bag.

I like the sound alot as well. It definitely sounds a lot better. I wonder if that is because the housing itself is so much beefier? The eye and S hook are very, very similar to the stock Everlast parts, so the difference has to be the housing???

Powermill? Anything else would be Un-swivelized!

If anyone would like to see another demo of the Powermill swivel in action, I posted the video below in the "Hitting to music" thread. And, there is no speak about evil! This creation of jumpcannon's is all good! The only thing that could be improved with this new swivel is the experience of Speed bagging! Hope you enjoy the Experience! With that said, I may have to do a little punch Drumming to some Jimmy Hendrix next go round! Ding Ding

This creation is a shoe in for the Golden Swivel award!

Golden Swivel indeed!! I got mine yesterday and gave it a test run last night and I have to say it is a fantastic addition to the speed bag world. Unreal is not a big enough word. The action is simply perfect, with no interference on bags of all shapes and sizes. It is as fast as any I have hit, (but I don't hit too fast lately) and the sound is noticeably lower than other ballhook models, making it easier to listen to over time. I attribute the depth of sound to the uber heavy housing.

Got to say, Jumpcannon, you may have just written your name in the speed bag record books, because the bagging world has been in search of a quality ballhook swivel for many years, and you just made it. I would recommend the ones I have to ANY speed bag equipment company to sell in a heartbeat.

                          Nice job, JC!
