Another new guy

Hey folks,

I must have thought about getting a speed bag hundreds of times over the years but finally got it done. I just got my home made platform setup in my garage last weekend and I seem to already be on my way to a new addiction.

I’ve emailed Alan about a copy of the Speed Bag Bible and really look forward to getting it. In the mean time I’m enjoying reading through all the posts on here and learning a lot. Who knew there was so much to learn!

It's a crazy addiction... I can't seem to get enough time under the board, and lately, the craving for it has been stronger than usual. Probably because I've been away from it for over a week now. It can easily suck you in to its rhythmic grasp.
But, hey. There are worse things to be addicted to.

So I got an hour and 20 minutes of practice in last night before my wife suggested dinner and spending some time with her might be appropriate and another 20 minutes before work this morning.

Despite being brand new at this I really don’t think the novelty will be wearing off anytime soon. The speed bag seems to provide me with a perfect balance of challenge, frustration and progress that makes me just want to keep at it every chance I get.
