I'm not sure... but it sounds a GREAT idea! We should definitely have a speed bag dictionary!

The Speed Bag Bible (SBB), otherwise sus out Speedbag central.com.

To be honest I'm pretty sure most of us make it up as we go along and those who are doing it generally have an understanding of what the lingo is all about.

But while we're on the topic, I was considering introducing a combo I have been working on and call it the 'Hy-Lo Bow Rotation' which involves a L & R over, under Lbow rotation with a single on each strike. There, I've done it now!

I'll agree with Roc. The Speed Bag Bible covers most, if not all, of it.

Alan gives a HEALTHY discount on the SBB (DVD and book) for forum members. PM him if you need a copy.

NO there is nothing "official" on the forum (yet), but it's not a bad idea, especially for some of the slang we use, such as "Bagaholic", "double bumping", "shadow punches" and "The Speed Bag Truck".

Some of the terms above were created here by the group.

Many of the "original terms", (ie... techniques names or certain combination references) That are published in The Speed Bag Bible were created and copyrighted by the author (me...) and should only be used "officially" (print or video) with permission. Terms under that would be things like the "Outward-(Single,Double,Triple) Elbow Strike", "Side-(Single, Double,Triple) Elbow Strike",
"Downward-(Single,Double,Triple) Elbow Strike - and their two or three line abbreviations.

Of course, I would give permission to this site (only) to list a master reference if wanted, or create a master list on my site (speedbagcentral.com) and provide a link to it.

We have a language all our own. It's like a code if you will. If I'm around other Firefighters/Paramedics we have our own code. In high school my group of friends had our own code.ETC...

Now I'm honored to be a part of the Baggin Code!
