THIS IS MY IDEA:
Build a very heavy constructed arcade style stand to support a 26”x 26” oval speed bag plat form above and curved video projected screen in front of the viewer. Above the platform there will be a monitor that shows the player from a side view during game play.
On one side of the player there would be a small web cam style camera that would be programmed to follow the plat form’s height and also programmed to properly zoom to fit the screen. Having a floor mat with sensors in it to tell the computer how the player is standing so it can zoom the camera correctly would do this.
On the opposite side of the player would be a green screen. As the player is being captured on video, the game automatically fills in the background.
The bag should have a sensor inside to tell the computer how hard the bag was hit. The bag should be made of a material that can have separate images displayed on it for a 3-d effect.
The plat form can have sensors all around it to tell the computer which direction the bag was hit.
The plat form will have a mechanical ball socket (attached to a ram style hoist coming from the top) controlled by the computer. This socket will control the plat form’s height according to the height of the user. It will also continuously be able change the angle of the of the plat form according to the status of the game being played by a few degrees from multiple sides of the plat form. When the hoist is fully extended it will be at the lowest height therefore the weakest, and fully contracted will be the highest and strongest.
The game being played will control the projections that are displayed and the angle of the platform, though not all games need to have a change in angle necessarily.
Games could be made to simulate fighting, fast paced hitting rhythms, tennis or badminton, dance, fitness fun, copy the computer’s combinations, training modes, etc. These Gaming units would probably be found in: sports bars, family restaurants, lounges, arcades, movie theaters, lobbies, carnivals or fairs.
The types of games available to play would be suitable for the type of venue that purchased them.
The gaming unit would have an Internet connection. The owner would use this connection to subscribe to the games that they want available to their customers. High score videos from the overhead monitor would be sent to possibly a You Tube channel or a competitive gaming website.
ALL FEED BACK IS WELCOME, BUT HATERS WILL BE BLOCKED OR REMOVED FROM DISCUSSION TOPIC.
