Bladder problems in speed bags

Hello,
I work in a Recreation Center with a speed bag and heavy bag. Our heavy bag has no issues however, we have two Ringside speed bags, small and medium sized. On an average day the speed bag is being used for about 4-6hours, with 4 hours a day being normal use. The people that use the speed bag use it HARD.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why our bladders are getting holes in them as often as they do, and what other bags and bladders we could use to replace them.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hmm. Unconcerned Amatuers having unrestricted use of 4-6 hours of try to kill the bag by smacking it as HARD as they can - will most likely succeed. The quickest fix would be a knowledgeable instructor to monitor the use and focus people's punching efforts to more constructive methods than try to punch as hard as possible. Having hit the speed bag pretty hard and fast a few times myself, I would say that none of the really advanced baggers can do some of what is possible at full power punching. The smaller limitations of movement required to do extremely fast speed bag combinations from all around the bag will not be possible at FULL HARD power punching. There is a trade off from HARD to CONTROLLED. I realize some people want to smash the bag as hard as possible, with requires little skill and will make the bag go fast, but they will never keep up with it. Speed takes a more relaxed motion that a stiff, strained Hard Punching movement.

Barring the solution of controlled access or an instructor, I would recommend you get a few larger bags, which will be slower and generate less rebounds per punch. Second, underinflate the bags a tad to avoid over inflation valve blowouts due to hard punching. Third, Rotate your bags more often, giving each longer breaks. fourth, if 1,2,3 don't work, buy lots of bladders.

I've rarely seen small bags last long if they are slightly overinflated and pounded by big boys at full force. That is not what the speed bag is made for, and that type of workout is better left to the heavy bag or double-end bag that lacks the inner compression of the rebound board.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately we do not have the staffing to monitor the speed bag, but the other information will help. Many of the speed bag users use it for about 30 sec to a minute max at a time. Having no prior experience in boxing and proper use, I did not know if that is a typical time use per set.
