    My homemade platform

    Guys,

Check out the pic(s) of my platform - one with the XS Everlast bag, and one with the L Ringside Bag. I have the ball swivel you guys all recommend...and love that too!

The platform is an old Pizza Hut two person table flipped upside down with 2" angle iron for the mounting bracket. It obviously isn't adjustable, but with me being 6' tall and ceilings at 7-8' I have enough angle iron to mount at right heigth...

Welcome, jzzkwz. What a great idea for a platform. How does it rebound? It looks pretty solid, any vibration? Post up some vids of it in action.

It rebounds awesome with no vibration! The only issue is it is as loud upstairs as down and can put a damper on the evening if I work out too late...LOL

      Anyway it works extremely well!

Yeah no kidding - I'm eating a lot throughout the day - 6 meals (one every 2 1/2 hours) so I'm always hungry...LOL

As you can tell I am a hard gainer so I eat like this just to maintain the weight and recover the calories burned in the workout...

              Time to eat again...LOL

Interesting boards. You are part of a long line of those hanging tables upside down to hit a speed bag. Here's a bit of History......

                      Nice set-up! It looks solid.

Putting a sand bag or other form of weight on top of the platform should reduce the noise upstairs.

I did P90X , it was a lot of fun. How far in are you? I did all 90 days but it took me about 120 days to do it

                              Tim,

Felt great after you were done didn't you! Best workout I've ever found for overall fitness! As I mentioned to someone (forget the handle - I'm new) I don't like to run because of my hip...well P90X is the first workout that I have actually done a lot on my legs - other than boxing, gotta love running stairs and jump rope, which I didn't seem to have too much trouble with other than oxygen supply...LOL

I first did the program Dec - Feb/Mar 2007, did all 90 days in about 95 or so. Second round Feb 09 - May 09 in just over 90 days. Now I'm in my third round, but am mixing boxing with the P90X. Started this round November 2nd, but have missed a couple of workouts (fighting a cold still and didn't have time one workout) and am on Day 10...I am also doing the P90X+ mixed in as well. The ab workout in the + (Abs/Core+) is a lot better than Ab Ripper...
