hey jordan, are you getting much vibration on your platform with those brackets ? im using the same and i get quite alot of vibration on my board.

Yeah goju....the brackets themselves vibrate a lot, but i find if you throw some stuff on top....doesn't really even matter what it is (i got a half-filled backpack up there now) that the vibration is cut off fairly well. The best you can do is a bag of sand, I just haven't gotten around to it.

I got a couple of sand bags, but if i stuck one on top im sure the platform would come flying off the wall

HAHA, well, so long as you put it into studs, there shouldn't be a problem, I you went into drywall or something, I'd suggest you move your platform and then put some sandbags up.

You did a great job and I really like the looks. A long time ago I ended up adding another 3/4 inch plywood between the cheap black platform and the brackets to make it more solid and to be able attach some other double-end bag frame to, but if I had to do it over again, I'd do what you did. Yours looks so much nicer.

thanks atgatt, I really appreciate the compliment....you should do it anyway, its pretty cheap, and once you've sanded and varnished etc its more fun to bag on knowing that you made it yourself.
