    bad seams

So I went ahead and bought the title 8x5 everybody here seems to think is awesome, but when I got it out I noticed the seems on the bottom were all out of alignment. There was a post by someone else a while back (don't remember who) that was talking about how this could happen a lot. I know that this kind of thing can make the bag not bounce straight etc so I was just wondering if I should contact title and try to get a new one, or if its even worth the hassle?

    thanks

Forget about it. Just put it on your swivel and hit it. I don't think any of my bags are perfectly symmetrical in every aspect.

yeah you are probably right, but it's not simply "not perfect" the seems on the bottom are pretty far off, I guess I'll hit it for a few more days and then decide.

Oh, on side note, I was testing the bag out in front on some friends of mine, and they wanted to try it. Needless to say they couldn't hit it 4 times in a row to save their lives, having not ever hit a bag before. I hit it a few times for em, and they seemed into it, so I showed em some videos of Alan, (the one of him from 1979, and the mission impossible video) ...their jaws about drops off their faces lol. We may have some converts haha. Kudos mr. kahn.

I just picked up one of those 8x5 titles as well. I found it to be a bit deformed. I have been hitting it for a couple of weeks now and I am getting used to it. I wondered the same thing when I first received it. Is it me adjusting to a smaller bag or is this bag rebounding abnormal. I am sure a bit of both. Give it a couple of weeks and then decide. Did your bag have any deformity when you gave it air?

I found the other post I was talking about, my bag looks just like these bags on the bottom.

I checked my other title turbo 7x10 and its seams are misaligned as well. I also have a century 9x6 that has near perfect seems. That Turbo has a bit of deformity as well. I can hit both title bags fairly well but have found to be able to control the century a bit better. The title bags I guess will give me some more challenge on the coordination. I like the speed of the 8x5. I am almost thinking about returning the title brand to see if I can achieve a better shaped bag. Maybe Cleto Reyes or pro mex. I have heard that pro mex is comparable to the Cleto Reyes but more cost friendly. Anyone else heard anything similar?

I imagine every company has it's own design. I've had bags with awkward or mismatched seams that hit very well.

I have sent my title 5x8 back due to the deformity and seam misalingment. I am waiting for the pro mex 5x8 to get here. More to follow as soon as I get to hammer on that pro mex.

The opening here (can you feel it) is on a my promex 8x5

I like it but the bottom has a bit too much taper for my taste. A lot of people seem to like this bag, but My hands tend to slip down the front at higher speeds. On songs where I'd really have to really crank it, I'll use another bag. It does have a nice weight and rebound though. You will probably like it.

I had the Title 5x8 for a month. Title gives you 60 days to return. My pro mex should be here tomorrow. I also picked up an air pressure gauge just to help prevent over inflating. I will let you know what differences I see with the pro mex vs title .

I look forward to your opinion. Given a choice, I prefer the Title shape.
