New Swivel Hung to the Side

When I was ordering my Title bag, the sales guy was so nice that I also ordered this Title Swivel before reading more on Speedbagcentral's swivel page:

OOOOPs! It is smooth as smooth can be, but the shank goes to one side, and it wants to return there on its own. It's going back.

Is the Boxing Gear ball swivel still the one to get?

Boxing Gear's® Speed bag Swivel - Triple chrome plated, precision ball Swivel all Steel Construction (Reference #Watkins-Swivel02). (The link on the swivel page for Speedbagcentral, but the URL is four lines long.)

Thanks much. Thought I'd get it all set up this weekend... But I want to get the whole thing right the first time if possible.

Boxing Gear's® Speed bag Swivel is the only choice if you want a metal ballhook. If you bolt your swivel on you can change them very quickly. I can change mine out in about 2 minutes, so it's not that big of a deal (on my setup) to change. As far as "getting it right" you may find yourself experimenting with new stuff (bags and swivels) all the time.

"Getting it Right" really means finding what feels right and works for you, on your hands and your board.

    Good luck.

      Thanks!

Much appreciated. I ordered the Boxing Gear's Speed bag Swivel this morning, plus the extra ball with shorter hook. I'll hold on to the Title Deluxe Pro for comparison and will give a report before sending the Title Deluxe Pro back.

As for "getting it right" being a matter of personal preference, this is true. However, you guys seem to be thoughtful and genuine in your discussions. Thanks to your experiences, I am pretty sure that I'm going to save a lot of time and energy on my own road to "getting it right."

Hi my tittle swivel was crooked when i got it!! if you loosen the nut on top and put a socket over it then tap with a hammer it will set the bearing straight then tighten up the nut!! sorted it really is a smooth fast swivel, hope this helps, Fingers.
