    No time to bag!!

    I get probably 45 seconds in.... 3 to 5 times a day...

    I can't work with that!

Right now I've got full time school, full time work, girlfriend, new puppy, and everything else I don't want getting in my way of bagging!!

Prior to last week I was an avid 1.5hr minimum gym goer each day and I figured I'd replace baggin with at least a half hr of that... but now I don't even have that! It's kilin me!

Up at 2:30 am on sunday.. the only free time I have.. looking for answers..

if you can afford it, buy a cheap weight bench and some dumbells. Get up 30-45 minutes earlier than normal to workout.

while studying, take periodic breaks to do exercises such as push ups and sit ups. Push up bars can do wonders for your upper body.

take your girfriend to the gym with you a few days a week. Get her involved in working out with you.

i have two small kids and a full time job. i thought i would never have time for exercise again. but i do, not like before but still time. i do things like pushups, medicine ball exercises, resistance tubes, heavy bag and speed bag. mainly short workouts, but frequent and effective.

I know how you feel. Many times "life" gets in the way of doing what we enjoy and other priorities take us out from under the board. I've been in that boat many times and lately most of my baggin' experience is typing or talking about it. I haven't had time to do a decent workout in months due to work and one week end calamity after another. The spare bedroom next to my speed bag room now has an occupant, ( it's a little noisy in there if the speed bag is being used....) and my speed bag room may soon have to be turned into a useful bedroom again as more kids lose their jobs and have to move home. But it's OK, cause this is not a race. Your bag skills will not leave, and you will knock the rust off in a few workouts.

Enjoy the time with your GF and puppy. The bag will be there when you get back.

That is the only thing I don't like about hitting the speedbags and double end bags, you can't do it quietly.

My setups are in my office that faces the street and even with the windows closed my wife says she easily hears the noise in front come through. All I can do to muffle it is play my stereo louder.

Regarding no time to workout, it is totally understandable when life throws out more than we bargained for. For me though, exercise is like an air valve to a tire. If I'm not doing it in some form or another, stress will get my tire pressure too high and then life really is no fun at all. Not only the lack of exercise affects the health, you also just lost a release valve to the stress.

            Just Do It!!!

Hi All, I've had open heart surgeary and now have to workout at least three times a week. I was told do or die! Find the time and JUST DO IT! The only reason I am still alive today is because I would workout at least twice a week plus play tennis, bike, racket ball, and other sports before I had the heart attack or I would not have survied. Working out is that import!!! Again!!! bottom line: JUST DO IT!!!

I feel your pain! Work has been hectic the last week or so, barely any time to get some proper bagging on the go!

Just have to make the most of the times when you're free I guess!

I feel your pain too. I had surgery on my elbow this morning and I woke up with my arm in a splint that must remain on for 2 weeks. I'm pretty bummed because I don't know how I can do any exercise at all until I get my stitches out.

Take it easy and let it heal, don't rush things. The bag will still be there when the Doc says it's okay. Like Alan says, it all comes back quickly after even a lengthy layoff.
