In the first picture with the group of swivels, if you look at the one closest to the edge, Now i have seen this swivel though the years but i've never seen a name to it, it's seems to be a very rare swivel and i thought by seeing this swivel sporadically since i joined the forum i thought it was pot metal so i never bought one until one of the baggers sent it to me for me to retro fit with my big ball-hook assembly and it's definitely not pot metal, if fact i loved it so much i told that bagger that the next time i see one i wanted to buy one, he said he'd look out for one for me, and low and behold not even a week went by and he found one that said NOS so i bought it, i'll post pictures of it here so you can take a look at it, it came in a Nicol's round box. i'll post the pictures later when i'm feeling better.

I was going to say that it looked like a Nicol's. It's different than most of the ones I've seen, as it isn't two piece. Perhaps a less expensive model, or one of later production.

Dutchman this is it, i really don't know if this is a Nicol's, Maybe it wa their last dich effort, Or maybe someone stuck this swivel in this Nicol's box, it's hard to figure out without having a Nicol's catalog or living in that time period when these were available at the sporting goods stores, Anyway this thing is heavy, built like a tank and taking a closer look at it, it was never used, NOS the ball that came with it is a
Ball-Rope (edit) Now that i think about it, Since this is a Ball-Rope swivel and as you know the Ball-Rope swivels came out before the Ball-Hook swivels.

Dutchman So i forgot i had a conversation on Instagram with another bagger that had the same swivel and he had shown three swivels that he said were Nicol's swivels, one was the same one that i had come across (pictured above) that was NOS and in the round box that came without the rope, He said he had talked to the seller to confirm it was a Nicol's swivel, So it looks like these swivels that i have seen very randomly through the years that have no name stamped on them are Nicol's swivels
Here are the pictures he shared

Very nice. The ingenuity of the rope swivel, the slot in the side allowed for the knot in the rope to be "adjusted" without removing the swivel from the platform.

It appears that a lot of what were the regulars have gone elsewhere. See some on FB which is the only other place I'm at in this subject matter
