    New Everlast bladders

Everlast bladders are now made in India just like the Enkay bladders, They hold air way better and the rubber is thicker. They are pretty much Enkay bladders with the snap-in air valve, the only thing i don't like is because the rubber is thicker now it doesn't seem to expand as much into the big bags like the China rubber but the big plus is the quality is much better, i just wish they offered the different sizes like they used to, There's only one size for the double end bag and only one size for the striking/speed bag, i have the everlast bladder in all my 9 inch deb bags and i'm very happy with them, the big plus is there's no glue involved.

BTW i wish you all would contact Everlast and demand, Okay ask for the different sizes of speed bag bladders like they used to have back in the day, if they offered the different sizes like for 5x8, 6x9, 7x10 and so on there would be much more of my fellow baggers changing speed bag bladders and buying bladders from them, The glue in bladders are just a waste of time and nobody wants to mess with that, the snap-in air valve is so easy use, And BTW their answer to using one size for all speed bags is just bullsh*t, They also say their small double end bladder works for the smaller speed bags is another answer that's Bull, There's a reason why the speed bag bladders are shaped like speed bags and the double end bladders are round, Pretty much common sense, Can you use a double end bladder in a speed bag, of course you can, can you use a speed bag bladder in a double end bag, of course you can, But ever since the speed bag came out the bladders were shaped like speed bags, NOT ROUND but tear drop shaped, Lets contact Everlast and let them know what you want.

Picture of the old style everlast Striking/Speed bag bladder compared to the new style. (Edit) Oh and the everlast double end bladder is of a better quality too, if you ever tried to replace a bladder on a double end bag, Some are just about impossible to glue in, The Snap-in value is so much easier, No glueClick image for larger version Name:	20240824_012309.jpg Views:	1 Size:	1.20 MB ID:	129873

You should go back to the early years of the forum, and the discussions about Tim's "melon" bag. It was a red and blue Everlast bag. When it finally died it was discovered that it been fitted with a double end bladder when it was made. I have used the Title Quik Tec double end bladders in my large and medium size bags. For the most part they filled them rather nicely. It's interesting to note that in the early part of the twentieth century after the advent of the pear shaped bags they were still using round bladders in them.

When you mentioned the Quik Tec bladders and that they fit the big bags, i was thinking about getting them because like you said they were big and would fill in the big bags, But now you can't find anything that fits the vintage big bags, Every bladder no matter what i searched for just doesn't seem to fill out the neck of these big fellows, i did find one website that supposedly has them in stock, i also found another site that has the speed bag version but i think it's only a medium, i just didn't want to take the chance of purchasing these from websites that i never bought from before, i have a few ideas that maybe might work to take care of the dried out valves on the original vintage bladders that come in these bags but i would have to sacrifice an everlast bladder by either pulling of the valve and gluing it to the vintage bladders, i think it would work, the other idea is to go to the hardware store and find a plug that would insert into the dried out butyl bladder, it would have to be able to pull out and replace back in after it's filled with air, both ideas i'm sure i can achieve, it wouldn't really be that hard to try, the replaceable air valve plug would be the easiest to do.
