The Art of the Bag

I was in Montreal last month and stopped by their headquarters for a visit. It's a relatively small building in a warehouse district and they have a showroom of sorts. It turned out to be about a five-mile walk and I was with a friend who cares nothing about boxing equipment so I spent less time there than I normally would have due to feeling guilty about the long walk.
Anyway, they have some nice equipment positioned in the contemporay, high-tech niche. I was told the company was started by a former TITLE guy and photos in the place suggested he's been in the boxing industry for some time. My only interest was a 9X6 bag which happened to be out of stock so I left empty-handed. Later on, I realized that I forgot to look at their swivel and inquire about the fact that their bags are described as being "leather" The quotes, to me, suggest it may not be real leather but I guess I'll have to call to find out.
Montreal is one of my favorite cities so I'll be there again and next time I'll be better prepared when I visit Rival.

I'm hearin ya Fingers about always jonesing for a new bag. Even after hearing all the bad press about the 4200 I found one in stock at Big 5 and had to have it. It was on sale for 29.95. Well so much for that 29.95, it hits like a burlap bag filled with charcoal. My current favorite is my Top Contender 5 x 8 on sale at Ringside for 19.95
