      Pretty much nailed it, post WWII era, before they converted to the numerical cataloging in the mid to late 1950's. Nice bag, note that "Everlast Genuine Cow Hide" is embossed in the leather, not printed.

        Much appreciated. Felt like I scrubbed about 80 years of grime off it. Amazing how these things hold up, the seems are still in good shape. The shape and size is almost identical to the 4207. Bagboy couldn't have done it without your focus and determination hahaha
        Theres a similar one on ebay now with the everlast printed on(pic below)

          Exactly. Back when every product was also displayed attention to detail and pride in workmanship. The wall units of those days were also uniquely designed and ornately constructed. I imagine that bag has held up to many a beating.
