If you've joined in the last few months and haven't looked through the older threads, you are missing some great information. The last week or so I have looked back at many older threads and have found some great information, especially in the Pictures and Videos forum.
There are many clips that people have posted and others have critiqued. This has been a valuable learning tool for me. Tim has posted many videos from a few years ago and Alan and others have made suggestions after viewing the clips. Many other members, some active, some no longer, also have posted up clips for review. After viewing the clips and reading the comments I really think I have avoided some potential problems. The time spent was well worth it to me, not to mention entertaining (especially Skunk's).
The single most valuable resource for me is (shameful plug for Alan's book coming) was the purchase of the Speed Bag Bible and DVD. The book provides an easy-to-read explanation of the terms used in the book, as well as easy-to-follow explanations of various skills, along with many photos and practice exercises. The DVD contains many of Alan's videos showing the different techniques and combinations, along with advice on safety. Great job, Speedbag.
Father's day is coming in a few months, maybe throw a few hints at your SO.
While I'm in the complimenting mood - thanks Tim for creating this site and helping spread the speed bagging word. [Where's that brown nose smilie???]
