Built a 2nd worlds most beautiful speed bag platform/stand
When I originally started with the design that was my first choice like yours but then changed my mind and I figured I wanted it being “pushed” up into the stand rather than it being “hanging” from the stand if that makes sense?
I dig your design though
I dig your design too. I like the brushed finish on stainless look.
Do you have it mounted on the wall yet? The part I am concerned about is the short plate that bolts to the wall. It is a very short bracket and a huge moment arm. Its the reason I asked about the weight of the drum. Fingers crossed.

I weigh about a buck fiddy and it hold me no issues. The plate that mounts to the wall is 3/8 thick and 7” long with these quality wood screws it would survive a tornado lol I wish we lived in the same state man do some work together would be coooo
The 1st one I did last year still looks brand new I was a little concerned the super clear wet look was gonna fade from the bag, but not a dang scratch 👌👌
Excellent. Now you just need to upgrade your swivel. The title lightning might match the colors prety well. The chrome forza would look good too. Not sure my Arc would look nice enough.
Wow that looks awesome , was it easy to apply the epoxy resin ?
It’s a pain in the ass lol to get a perfect uniform layer that looks like a sheet of glass takes some elbow grease and a lot of patience. If you got patience and 75 degree room with no air movement you be good
Hhhmmmm patience ?? Lol , how much epoxy resin mix did you have to use ?
I've just posted my constructed platform on here today ( DIY platform ) and now thinking about making another using epoxy resin like you have

Each side got 24oz which is plenty enough to get a good thick draping over the edges, use about half a spoon full of your choice of metallic powder added into your epoxy. I’ve been playing with this stuff now for about 3 years and I can tell you don’t use a torch for bubbles. Get you some isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle and mist your epoxy. Your ever have questions just send me a PM be glad to help you out
Thanks for the info , metallic powder now that's a great idea , I take it it's the the sort u add to paint from a craft shop?
I'll definitely be in touch when I come to do my next platform
