      Sure, I worked with plastics a lot when I was an exhibits technician at a science museum. Chuck up pieces and run at the lowest speed on the metal lathe, nylon and polystyrene can be worked just like metal or wood for that matter. Regular styrene, not so much, too brittle.

          I am sure you can find many a price variances out there. But does it boil down to a specific type nylon compound required for the project?
