Speedbag setup in the generator room of a construction vessel

Well, I thought I'd share some pictures of what I have to use while working offshore. Basically two pieces of angle iron for legs and two triangular type mounts welded to the legs, bolted to a huge ass piece of wood. Moves like crazy if the drumming gets out of synch. As per advice given here, I put two 25lb plates on top of it to help with the vibration. It helps, but not great.

The swivel is an Everlast Chain swivel (as I mentioned before), and the bag is an Everlast 4210 (which I like). We also have an old 4214 (I think it was 14).

You the only one baggin' onboard? Would be cool to see a video, what's the noise level like in that room?

It is surprising that it moves that much because it appears to be well supported, but I believe you. You sure make good use out of the space you have.

Aye Aye Matey! now that's a ship I wouldn't mind sailing on....

I did work a summer on the Mississippi River, Deck handing on a barge line for 3 months. Had I been a bagger then, I would have rigged one up in the Boiler Room also.

It's great that you have a place to bag on your down time. I'm guessing you might go "stir crazy" with nothing to do offshore.

I will try to upload a video. But it will be from my phone, so I don't know if the frames per second will do much justice. also, the sound might seem a little off, but I will give it a try.
