Gracias fellas. The craftsmanship of these bags is admirable. The bag on the bottom right is from the 40's and hits like a dream.
I hear you Ralph, hopefully another will come around. If I come across another you will be the first to know. I decided to check ebay before I left for work and got to it minutes after it was posted. It was 3 bags altogether. A 4213, the 4204, and a MacGregor HS106. All new as far as I could tell. The MacGregor is like a sack of bricks but it serves its purpose as a striking bag. I'm going to throw up a video later of the 4204 along with the swivel I have been building. I am almost done with the website and the swivels will be available very soon. Weather caused a work stoppage so I made some good progress. So close I can taste it

Grazie dad. Very generous of you ventanakas. I have a rod bender and a die that has been put through the ringer. I've tried many different variations as you can see but I think the flattened S hook with the skewed tail end is the way to go.

Personally I loved the slightly offset "S" design. So much easier to get bags on and off, as well as pretty much eliminates that "Bags in Space" phenomenon.

The bag at the top (4204 - 5 x 8 astro) is the fastest. I got lucky finding that one. The order of fastest to slowest follows the order the bags are arranged if you go top to bottom left to right. The speed, shape, quality of each model varies depending on the year it was made from what I've gathered. Each of the 4200's on the 2nd row are slightly different.

Agreed. Are you referring to the bag sliding on the hook when you say "Bags in Space"?

Absolutely. I never launch a bag from a Reverse Punching that was on an Offset - S hook.
