Dutchman, I would like to see your comments. The leather is heavier than the red military version of the 4205 I have. But the leather is very high quality. Original leather lace is in great shape. Original bladder was an Everlast branded yellow latex. The bladder guard is real leather, so I figure this bag is from early to mid 1980's?

Actually, I'd say the mid to late 1970's. I remember seeing one of these at Stanley Andrews downtown San Diego store about 1975. The red ones appeared starting in the late 70's early 80's
