    Tripple Elbow Linking, Mirrored.

Just embarked on this one this morning guy's. It's an extension of one of Alans favourites.

The fist rotation you get coming out of the R(F-Roll) during alternating feels really good. Wonder how I'll go trying to mimic that on the dance floor.

You've really got front to back and side to side linking nicely. Arms a still a bit extended on your side Doubles but you'll get it.

( I shot that pg 152, ex #3 tonight. It's been a while and I forgot how quick that DTES ' SSP ' RDP happens. Man was I rusty. Haven't worked those in a while... ) have to edit it this weekend, add a slow motion, and post if up for you.

      Beauti. Look forward to it.

Do you think you would be able to syncopate with that?

Actually not with that whole combo. But I do use certain parts of it.

I use the syncopated beat of the Triple-Triple Elbow Strikes. Sometimes I do four of five S-TES in a row.

I can but rarely syncopate with the 5-punch super advanced combo

        FDP ' SSP ' RDP.

it's harder to match. but I really like a 4-punch super advanced combo, because the four beats fit well within two beats of 2/4/ and 4/4 time music (like a four punch fist roll), AND it naturally repeats itself on the other side of the bag so you can throw two of them in a row for a nice syncopated beat.

        R-L.....R......L...-..L-R.....L......R
        FDP ' SSP ' RSP ' ' FDP ' SSP ' RSP

the last RSP of each will be slightly accented and returns to lead the next FDP.

*above is tough to do with mid speed music, and a real challenge for faster tunes.

and I use the advanced Fist Roll alot also. (tying it onto the last fist of an elbow strike.)

I have also be working with a little combo I call "the 3-punch monti", because it is three punches and can be used in place or 3-punch Front and Reverse Rolls.
which are used a lot for triplets in a song. There's a lot of ways to mix these, but the simplest few are:

        R-L.....R.......R-L....R
FDP ' SSP ' ' SDP ' RSP..... this naturally repeats itself, OR you can rotate the fists of the next FDP and change the lead fist and use the other side of the bag.

you can do the from any Double Punch, so sometimes I do this from the RDP.

        RDP ' SSP ' SDP ' RSP..to FDP combo.

you can start from the SDP

SDP ' RSP ' FDP ' SSP...this naturally repeats itself but you cannot rotate the fist order of a SDP.

that's what I'm playing with lately, just for fun. I usually set up for ithese (sense them) about 2 or 3 measure ahead in the music when I feel it will work with the beat and melody.

            Thanks Tim.

It's just a mirror of one of Alans favourites.

Thinking about it though, it's probrably better performed in a successive pattern, rather than mirror and alternate, by that I mean:

            4{ FSP '' 3(R-Roll) } '' 4{ TES '' RSP }
By doing it this way I wouldn't nessesarily have to alternate, but depending on how I'm feeling at the time the option is there. In rythmical terms I think this version may be more adaptable, rather than the demonstrated version, as far as punch drummin goes.

Give it a go, tell me what you think. I'm still formulating my punch drumming sequences for 'Call Me' by Blonde. I think this may go ok in the softcore section of the song.
