how not to build a custom platform

What's Wrong With this Platform?

Hmmm. At first glance, it looks impressive. But, only at a glance. I see at least 3 things that are wrong with this platform.

Looks like it would be better suited for use as a table in a McDonalds than as a bag platform - The front edge of the board must travel 2 inches in each direction when you bang on it.

Appears to be a nice piece of wood. Framing looks to be a little short and narrow. Needs so vertical adjustment rods to attach to for height adjustment.
...and of course the swivel is just a bit off center.

$300 is a too much for this, however we don't know how much time and materials costs he laid out to make it, and this might have been he 5th attempt and first working model. You just never know.
