    I don't think that this is a speed bag, I think this is a maize ball. The large round reinforced hole would be where you'd pour the sand in.

          No sir. What IS unusual (at least to me) is the very small circular bottom patch on the bag. Most of the ones I've see are pretty large and flat on the bottom. This one is really small in comparison to the rest of the bag.
