Just found this on Wiki Davega Sports

A federal court ordered Davega Stores into straight bankruptcy in April 1963, when its court-appointed trustee could not formulate a reorganization plan under which the chain could pay its debts

Yeah, inquiring minds want to know. I started to wait on posting since P directed it at you. I figured you knew way more than this about their history and quality of equipment.

        Sorry

I will be the first one to admit that there is a hellava lot more to learn out there. There is a lot that is probably lost forever, but still more waiting to be unearthed. Western Auto had a very respectable line of sporting goods (I was given a sleeping bag for a birthday from them). For a long time Western Auto was the closest thing to a local department store a lot of rural America had. Same can be said for Canadian Tire, which has been a sizable retailer in the Great White North for generations. What I'm saying is that there were many regional retailers that had their own branded line of sporting goods as recently as thirty-five to forty years ago. We are just beginning to see examples of their wares come out of the barns, basements and attics of what was rural America.

Yes indeed. Those other "xxxapedia's" are wrong once in a while. Dutch has never been stumped to my knowledge.

or you either, Paranday, for that matter.
