Got ahold of this vintage tuf-wear bag, cleaned it up put some black leather dye on the bag for a cleaner look and to cover up any wear marks over the years of usage.

Nice. Is this a S109 or the next one down? The S109 is 10x14 inches

Funny i actually had three of those S109s each one hit differently but no, This one ( i think ) is the oldest Tuf-Wear bag i had and have, it's a 7x10 with the only makings on the bag is the word Tuf-Wear, there's no phone number on it like some other bags and no letters or numbers, just the word Tuf-Wear. It hits like the old school bags, it's not fast or really slow, it just takes alittle muscle to get it moving, i really like the feel of it, Feels solid without that floating around feel that you get with lightweight bags. Great find, Here's some extra pictures, the original bladder didn't hold air overnight so i threw in an everlast bladder and did some mods to the bag.

This is likely one from when they had just moved from New York to Kansas. They probably didn't have the stamps ready when they started production there. This would have been before Safe-Play Manufacturing bought them.

Dutchman I had that red vinyl bag, VSB112 i don't remember who this bag went to but for a vinyl bag it hit pretty good, i had more than a few different brands of vinyl bags and the older the bag the better the vinyl felt and hit. (V) Vinyl (S) Striking (B) Bag, i don't know the meaning of the number 112 it could refer to the metric size but i haven't really checked the measurement of the bag, i think it was a 7x10 bag

Your probably right about that, You know more about this stuff than i do, Although i have learned alot (Thanks to you and paranday and the Bagman) (You guys set a flame under my butt with this vintage stuff) with the many bags i had, Especially with all the work i did with these bags by turning them inside out and seeing what they used for the construction of the bags, the type of lining, the sewing of the bag, the type of leather they use and so on, i can generally get a good guess at the timeline. With this particular bag i noticed the construction was alittle different with all the other tuf-wear bags i had, The bottom patch of leather was different, Not as soft as the others and the inside patch of round canvas that the bladder was glued to was a pretty big patch of canvas and was kinda stiff probably do to age, i got other Vintage stuff to post on here still.
