If you don't have ceiling like this than you would maybe need to use a 2x4 or something.

I built mine from the ground/floor up. Free standing and sturdy. No rattle or shaking to speak of. Thing is really quiet too. The one wall mount I have does have a sandbag on it and it's also braced to the floor joists as well so it does vibrate in that you can hear it throughout the house but it doesn't rattle.

Anyway, it comes with a water bladder, I take that out of the zippered housing. I fill a thick garbage bag with play sand ($1 and some change at Home Depot for a 50lb bag). Be sure to leave a little room in the bag for the sand to spread out. Then I put bag pull of sand in the housing and zip it up. Drop it on the ground a few times and the sand will even out. It’s about 24 inches around, so depending on your rig, it should cover the platform nicely. I’d say you could probably squeeze 75 pounds of sand in one if you really maxed it out. I put 50-60 in mine, fits my rig. You can obviously put more or less as needed.
If you don’t want to spend anything, just get a garbage bag, double or triple it up. Fill it with dirt or sand from the yard as needed leaving enough room in the bag for it to spread a little. Slap that sucker on top of your platform. Next thing you know old Jed’s a millionaire!Last edited by LouisvilleBagr; 07-16-2019, 06:06 PM.
