What is the proper height of a speed bag?

I am installing a speed bag and it may not be adjustable, I havent decided yet. In any case what is the correct height of the bag? Thanks

A good general rule is to have the widest part of the bag set at a height where it is level with your mouth. So it will need to be higher the bigger the bag is. A good idea is to set it up for the height of the biggest bag, or for the tallest person who will use it, and make a small step to stand on to bring you up to the correct height for smaller speed bags etc. I like the platform to be just above my head so I fit under it, that way I can get in close to the bag when I need to.
