setup to attach to back of iron stairs?

So, I'm thinking of an alternative to my speedbag setup. Has anyone ever attached a platform to the back of stairs? Any recommendation on hardware? I have some iron stairs that would be very sturdy and probably a better solution than my original idea of attaching a platform to a metal poll.

Don't see any reason that this wouldn't work as long as you have enough height and lateral room.
