    Homemade speedbag platform

Here is a pic of my platform I constructed from some plywood and a few bits of framing timber. It was an easy solution on how to hang my bag under this bit of roof on our front porch. It is out of the rain so I can bag in all weather but on the downside it is right outside my kids room and they sometimes wake up. It is a bit noisy and it does shake the roof quite a bit, but it works.

I love it, never seen one quite like that. It does look loud -- like a bass drum.

I bought a bag of fast set concrete today. I am going to mix it and pour it into my platform tomorrow to try to dampen some of the sound this rig makes. Hopefully it causes a nicer feeling rebound too

Dee of Deville swivels had a concrete platform. A really great rebounding platform!

Sounds good! Heavy stuff and can be made to any size I guess.

I put a bunch of brackets on the corners at the bottom and a few at the top to help prevent it from falling on my head and then poured 30kg of super strength 15 min concrete in there. Was a long 15 min wait, but the result was very worthwhile. No more 'Boom Boom' more like 'padapadapada'. The bag feels a bit more responsive and energetic too.
