    Bladder issue

How common is this? I don't think I can use this bladder. The nipple is not centered on the bladder.

Not unusual. Once the bladder is secured in the bag it will conform to the shape of the bag so how it looks inflated outside of it is of little consequence. What is important ultimately is how the bag itself is shaped once it's inflated. Sometimes you can come across one that is out of round. Occasionally you can "pound it out" so that it comes back into shape. The bladder has little to do with shape of the bag itself.

My problem when changing a bladder is that the seams turn out all crooked and I have to mess with the bag to get it right. Is this common or am I doing something wrong. Does it really matter?

might help self center the bladder in the bag...ralph
Thanks Ralph, I'll try that when I change the bladder on the fighting sports bag. That bladder holds air real good only thing is it is slow. You really have to pound it to get it going but I like how solid it feels when you hit it. Joe

Every bag that I have that has the black butyl bladder in it, I changed out for the title latex orange bladder. Those bladders just make the bags rebound faster. That gives you more time on the bag to work on you strikes or combos before getting fatigued...ralph
Yeah, that's the one. I am going to change the bladder I was just waiting for some advice on the seams issue. I want to get an 8 x 5 bag any recommendations. Joe

Now me having the 6x9 fighting sports and giving it a good beating, The leather and seams have held up fine, I feel the fighting sports leather could be a better quality than the standard title bags, I had a title 5x8 gold bag and put a replacement bladder in it but I had a feeling it wouldn't hold up to me hitting on it so I gave it to the speed bag king, BTW that gold color is ugly. I haven't tried the fighting sports 5x8 white bag yet, but seeing how the 6x9 has held up, I think that will be my next bag. Of course I'll change out the bladder on it.
I like the tear drop shape, fast with a solid feel to it. If it's too light I feel like I have to tappity tap to maintain control. I also like good quality leather even if I have to pay more for it. I do not like raised welts I like how the fs bag has them. One of the main things is that it can take a beating, my son and I and his friends really give the bags a workout. Will. Take turns playing pool and bagging. Like to try different bags but if they wear out fast it gets expensive. BTW how is that goat skin bag holding up? Joe

I gonna need more time on this bag to see if it's gonna hold up to me pounding on it, (I kinda feel it will hold up) But like I said it sure does fly. ( Fun ) It gets your fist and elbows moving. If you like the fighting sports 6x9 Then maybe you should get the 5x8 fighting sports...ralph

Yeah Ralph, we decided to pitch in to get a fighting sports 8 x 5 and a cleto reyes speed. BTW, I put a title bladder in the fs 9 x 6, it does make a difference. Florian 380 this helped us decide on also getting a cleto reyes speed bag. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331368658395 This a qoute [Here is the history of this speedbag platform. It was made for gleasons gym in Brooklyn in the 90's modeled after Oscar De La Hoyas platform. It is 3 inches thick and heavy like a piece of furniture. It was sold to a pro boxer who sold it to me for my gym.The only speedbag that has not busted on this platform has been the cleto reyes, the one in the pic. If you want that with the platform you can have it. Ringside speed bags have popped on it within a few months and i haven't had a title speed bag last more than a few weeks in my gym before having to replace the bladder. For whatever reason the wood doesn't do anything to the reyes bag. The crank at the bottom makes it adjustable in height.] Would the thickness of the drum have anything to do with it? Joe
