Well I finally got my new platform mounted on the basement's poured concrete wall. Drilling/sinking the redhead fasteners into the wall and aligning them with holes of the Balazs was a major PITA! The concrete bit walked a little which threw off the alignment of the platform's mounting holes to the fasteners. I ended having to enlarge the holes on the platform slightly. I also bought a gel mat for the floor so I am not standing directly on the basement's concrete floor. The medium Cleto bag I bought is quite a bit smaller than the old Everlast bags I'm used to. The last time I smacked the bag was about 30-years ago so I figured this should be interesting. Oh man, it came right back to me and I couldn't help smiling. Of course I need much practice, my rhythm is off and this bag is quite a bit faster. I need to build up my endurance because after only a couple of minutes my arms and shoulders were complaining a bit. And my knuckles were slightly sore - got to get them calloused up again. And yes, even the complaints about the noise started up again, but not from my mom this time but from my wife and daughter - we can't hear the TV! Memories. It's great to be back.
Pretty excited, received an email from Ryan last evening letting me know my swivel is ready and it's being shipped out - I ordered it back in July.
