Perhaps a bit off topic, although thought I would ask.

Looking to purchase a heavy bag. Anyone have any experince with Title's products? Also, I prefer leather, has anyone had any experience with other materials, i.e., pvc coated mesh?

I own five different styles of heavy bags. I own a title leather 100lb heavy bag, a ringside wrecking ball bag, a ringside leather heavy bag, a tko 100lb synthetic leather bag, and a title tear drop bag. I would say that for your hands leather is the route to go if you can afford it. I would stay away from canvas or foam/water bags due to quality issues. A lot of gyms I have belonged to use TKO or Title synthetic bags and they last quit well. In fact, I actually like my TKO synthetic bag I picked up for 129.99 last year off of their main web site with free shipping . Just beware that you should never use anything less than a super bag glove on synthetic bags as the attachment canvas straps and the material is sharp, and they are known to take off pieces of your hands if not protected. You should check out ringside too. They make a great bag. My father keeps a 150lb all leather bag in his garage that I still go over and bang on every now and again with my cleto bag gloves, and the quality is superior in my opinion to title. Title often advertises full grain leather, which means they might take several different cuts of leather to make a product. Whereas, ringside will advertise full grain cow hide leather or whatever cut they use. However, you can't go wrong with either. It also depends on what you are looking to accomplish with your work out.

thats the bag I would look at if i were you as an alternative to title just to increase your options. Also if price is not a barrier check out some of the leather bags from grant on clearance right now. They have a sweet big boy bag that I am considering getting at the moment if their are other colors than green that is.

I have a 100lb. leather Ringside that I got on sale. Great quaility but hard. I use 16 oz training gloves to hit with. Good workout in a little time. I think I could have gotten the 80lb and saved money. It would be best if you could try one that you like before buying one.
