    how big is your bag?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what the average size bag might be. I really like my promex xs. I thought about trying a medium or large title bag on a separate platform. Im thinking a smaller faster bag for messing around, learning different tricks and combos, and a larger bag just for getting stronger. I figure more mass to move means a tougher workout. Does this sound reasonable? Also i was just curious what everyone likes when it comes to size?

The bigger the bag, the better the . . .

Seriously, though. I love playing with different size bags. The bigger ones I will box more like I am punching a heavy bag, with multiple stiff jabs followed up with a hard right cross or maybe a hook. The smaller ones, I try to hit with more speed and variety of combos. Of course, I'm still fairly new to bagging and haven't really mastered the smallest bags. That Title Atomic XS is really kicking my butt. I can't imagine what the XXS is like.

My two favorite bags of the moment are the Atomic XS and the Everlast black and gold.

I have been switching between my everlast black/gold and promex 9x6. I really like both bags and they have a comletely different feel and hit.

I like my Tuff-Wear 9X6 and my Pro mex 5X8 they are my 2 favorites on chain link swivels. I practice new combinations on my title 9X6 on U Bolt and title 5X8 on ball hook. I have them all set up with a everlast base so changing bags and swivels is a breeze.

My smallest is a 9x6 Ringside from the 1980's, the largest is an Everlast 15x10 and I have several in between. I periodically go a couple of rounds on each starting at either end.

Got 'em both when they were on sale. Nice bags. They're on my shelf this morning, mocking me. (I think you'll be pleased by the challenge)

My biggest bag right now is the Everlast 4205, 13" x10", have two of them. It's my favorite big bag, it rebounds nicely and has a nice weight to it. Looking into getting the Jim Bradley jumbo, at 15.7 inches, it's a monster.

I have a century vinyl 10 by 7 but I don't like how it feels

Edit: I played around with the century some just now because I figure it has things to teach me. I found some good things from it, slowed down, focused on form, now I like the bastard. Ha!

I mainly use the everlast Te:M not sure on specific numbers

Anyone have a clip of a bigger bag? I purchased the large black and yellow title. I seems gigantic! I am thinking of downsizing to the all black medium bag. I am not weak by any means, but jeez it takes alot to get that thing going! Maybe i am spoiled, I never had any speed bags until a couple months ago, and they have all been smaller. I bought: 1) everlast durahide, its lightweight 2) promex xs 5x8 3) promex small , and then jumped to a large. I am serious when i say it seems monstorous. Maybe my first bag should have been bigger, i cant even imagine a bigger one. I would love to see a video of someone getting a bigger bag moving fast, i know its possible, i just havent seen it done yet. Also i love hitting the atomic when i go to the store, seems like alot of you like that bag. I think next month i may get one too!

The largest readily bag here in the US is the Title 12x10 "Big Blue" http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/titleboxing_2139_27137898

There are vids on here of some action on large bags, one of (I beleive) of Roc hitting an old school Everlast 4207.

                            4x6 - Atomic XXS
                            6x4 - Everlast XS
                            10x7 - Everlast Small

The 10x7 is the largest I'd recommend using a 24 inch drum. I honestly feel the larger bag provides me with a better the workout... Although you definitely make gains using the smaller bags as well, in terms of speed and accuracy. Just my 2 cents.

My Everlast 4213 "Military striking bag" at 11" x 8" is also a good fit on a 24 inch drum. You feel the wind in your face hitting that one.

The thing about the large bags is that they too are fun to hit. Stranded on a deserted island, sure, I'd want a small bag if I could only have one bag. But with the abundance of bags available, for mixing it up, the large bags do not disappoint.
