This was the Te:M bag after not even a week. I spent about an hour on it every day and, just like the first one I bought, the bladder surrendered. I wasn't very happy with the fact that the lacing of the panels wasn't straight either. But that's just me, I'm picky like that. This was the 2nd Everlast bag I went through. The bladder in the first one didn't even last 2 days. Just thought I'd share.

I wouldn't waste further time or effort on the stuff you find in local shops. I have Title bags (and Ringside and Everlast but overall I like Title the most) that have had the same bladder for years...
I have used and recommend any of these models
Title Boxing Speed bag - http://store.titleboxing.com/titlespeedbags1.html
Fighting Sports Pro - http://store.titleboxing.com/fightin...speed-bag.html
Title Boxing Gyro Balanced (the bag in my avatar) - http://store.titleboxing.com/title-g...speed-bag.html
Title Platinum Atomic - http://store.titleboxing.com/title-p...peed-bags.html - Don't buy off this link , though, this one is on sale through http://www.titlemma.com/vip
Rival - http://store.titleboxing.com/rival-p...peed-bags.html
Title Classic - http://store.titleboxing.com/title-c...peed-bags.html
I've also had good luck with the Everlast stuff you can get on the Internet
Everlast High Performance speed bag - http://store.titleboxing.com/esb.html
Ringside:
Top Contender - http://www.ringside.com/Top-Contende...uctinfo/CRPSB/
Ringside speed bag - http://www.ringside.com/Ringside-Spe...ductinfo/RPSB/
If it's not on my list above, it doesn't mean it's bad, just that I haven't used one. All of the above I've punched on for dozens, hundreds, or thousands of hours. It's not uncommon to have some leather cracking here and there, but overall these bags come looking nice and stay that way.Last edited by Tim; 12-12-2010, 04:09 PM.

Yo tim....If you could have only one bag...a 9x6....which would it be? I want a 9x6 for side hit learning and i am stuck between ringside, gyro, fighting sports, or title. Which one would you pick if you were stranded on an island with a platform strapped to a coconut tree and you could only pick one bag? LOL

In 9x6 size, i'd go for any of these:
Title Boxing Speed bag - http://store.titleboxing.com/titlespeedbags1.html
Fighting Sports Pro - http://store.titleboxing.com/fightin...speed-bag.html
Title Boxing Gyro Balanced (the bag in my avatar) - http://store.titleboxing.com/title-g...speed-bag.html
The only reason I'd be hesitant on the gyro is the seams... but they don't bother me, probably won't bother most people. They do stick up noticeably.

Yeah Jimbo, I've got a couple of these bags. One I got from Tim in Jersey (haven't punched it yet), but one I bought at a Sports Authority and the bladder leaked within only hitting it for about a week or two. It was easily replaced but still a hassle because it was a new bag. I've got a 6x4 everlast (black and gold) that I've got numerous hours of punching time into. Some of the panels, a more quality grade leather was used. Some of them not. Part of the bag still looks great, other parts of it, the leather is cracked just like your bag. They're not using a quality grade leather, they're cutting costs at our expense. I've used conditioner on them to help, but on a sub par product, it's not going to help. The everlast bags are'nt cheap and sometimes I think their quality control leaves a lot to be desired. I love the 6x4, I've got several. But I've had to send other back because of defective craftsmanship. There are a lot of other great bag vendos out there, and as Tim mentioned you might be better off ordering from Title.
Good Luck.T.J. MaTEE'[/U][/U] u:

The platform I'm using is in my garage. There is a washer and dryer with a sink between them but the only chemicals used in the washer are detergents. The swivel moves freely as if it were new. I sprayed it with a silicone based lubricant not too long ago and it has no resistance in any of it's movements. Prior to that it had started making very little noise but enough to annoy me. Thus, the reason for the lube. I am on the list for a new Powermill though!

I wanted the 9x6, but all they had in stock was the 8x5. I have no regrets. This is the best smallish size bag I have hit. It is maybe an inch or so taller than the Platinum Atomic XS, but is smaller around the belly, being a bit more of a banana shape than a true teardrop shape. It has a really fast rebound and is just a joy to hit. Takes very little effort to keep it moving fast and perform various combos. Well worth the money for this bag. Thanks for the recommendation, Paranday.

I've had my Te:M for 2 weeks, only damage so far has been a couple of little tears from heel palm claw strikes, learned right away not to strike with claws lol whoops. I'm hitting about an hour a day, up to 2 hours or more per day on the weekends and mine looks nothing like that. that sucks man. sorry to hear it's falling apart on you.

I'm not sure why I had the luck I did. That was the second Everlast Te:M bag I went through. The first one's bladder gave up on day 2. I returned the bag and got a full refund on it. I invested in a Cleto Reyes bag. Expensive but I'm confident it will last. Being a medium, specs on it are 7x10 but it doesn't seem that big. I love it though! It's a very nice bag! I also bought some leather conditioner from a local Boot Barn since I was there with my grandfather already. I've been applying it after every other session and it seems to be working well.
